Newsflash
The Quebec government has now joined the other provinces in recognizing the past service and sacrifice that uniformed individuals have done over the years.  Quebec veterans can now apply for a special licence plate with a red poppy in the center.  To apply for this plate you can pick up the application form at the Association meeting, your Legion Branch or the Legion web-site at www.legion.ca.  The cost is $5.00 administration fee for the plate and the application form gives a detailed listing of those entitled to this plate and how to apply for it.

A little while ago I had sent an Association lapel pin along to BW Veteran and Life Member of the Association, Newell Thomas.  He telephoned to thank us  and to say he is very proud to say that he is an American who served with the Black Watch. Newell wondered if any of his cronies remember him and would like to get in touch with him.  He lives in Tyler, Texas.  Give me a call and I will put you in touch with him.
