Oral History Project
This project is a joint effort sponsored by the Association and the Regimental Archives. Their goal is to preserve, through recorded interviews, the recollections and experiences of the men and women who participated in the wars, peacekeeping duties and in uniform during peace time, as well as those military and civilian personnel involved in activities surrounding the wars on the home front. All members are encouraged to participate in these interviews.
These interviews will be transcribed by the Regimental Historian, David O'Keefe and his staff. If you are interested in leaving a bit of recorded history for future generations, or request additional information, please leave your name and phone number for David at (514) 496-1686, Extension number 8. To make everyone at ease during these interviews, we will provide you with a general outline listing a series of subjects that you can talk about.
Photo Identification Project
Do you have a photo of your father, grandfather, husband, uncle or other relative/friend that has served in the Black Watch? If yes, you can help the Association and the Regimental Archives with the following two projects. The first photo project is a trip down memory lane. The Regimental Archives have collected a large number of photographs over the years. Unfortunately, there are no locations, dates, or individual names attached to these photos. We would like your assistance to help identify these photographs. Once identified, these photographs will be posted on the Regimental Web site.
The second photo project the Regimental Archives is working on, is to collect a photograph of all individuals who served in the Black Watch. If you have a photograph of an individual, or a platoon/company shot that you would like to contribute, please bring it down.
